Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Chopped chives (optional, for garnish)

Preparation:

  1. Start by seasoning the tuna steaks with salt and pepper on both sides to taste.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. When the skillet is hot, place the tuna steaks in and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, depending on your desired level of doneness (more time for well-done, less time for rare).
  4. Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  5. If desired, sprinkle the tuna steaks with sesame seeds and chopped chives for garnish. Serve immediately while still hot.
