Seared Tuna
How about a quick and delicious meal? Try this seared tuna! It’s so simple to make and incredibly flavorful.
For this recipe, you’ll need a counter to prepare the ingredients and a gas burner.
Ingredients:
- 2 fresh tuna steaks
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Chopped chives (optional, for garnish)
Preparation:
- Start by seasoning the tuna steaks with salt and pepper on both sides to taste.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
- When the skillet is hot, place the tuna steaks in and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, depending on your desired level of doneness (more time for well-done, less time for rare).
- Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- If desired, sprinkle the tuna steaks with sesame seeds and chopped chives for garnish. Serve immediately while still hot.
